Helping filmmakers stay organized while creating a film, a shot list is a detailed list of every shot that is captured in a scene of a video production. However, shot lists can be used in photography too as they can aid as a checklist of every photo that will be captured on the day of a photoshoot. As I believe planning and organization will help ensure success in my final photoshoot, I decided to create my own shot list on StudioBinder...a film, photo, TV, and video production management software! Containing 15 photos, it describes the scene and shot number, image references, image description, shot size (size of the subject in frame), and shot type/camera angle (the position of the camera in relation to the subject).
NOTE: I did not photograph the following images—they are from Yelp and Google Maps. They are simply images that I will use for inspiration (plans of how I would like my own images to look).

Originally, as I had never heard of a shot list prior to creating one, I was somewhat skeptical; I didn't fully understand why it would be beneficial and thought the process would be tricky. However, I surprisingly had a lot of fun, especially since this was a new experience for me! In fact, I have never made a shot list before nor have thought about making one. Yet, I am happy that I learned how to create a shot list since it not only helped me precisely organize my final photoshoot but also allowed me to become more familiar with shots and angles.
