As previously stated, when I asked the chef, "What would you say is the easiest Japanese dish to recreate at home," he responded with tuna tartare and even gave me a recipe! Therefore, I was inspired to follow his exact recipe at home and, of course, take photos during the process! I think this will be a great addition to my double-page spread!
First, I took pictures of some of the ingredients separately.
I thought doing this would allow for clearer images as I would be able to zoom in more on the individual dish rather than multiple.

Then, I took pictures of the main ingredients
combined in one image.
I think the previous images that were taken separately are of somewhat higher quality, especially since the colors are brighter and more vivid.

I also decided to lower my camera angle and take pictures of the sauces separately.
Once again, I thought taking the images separately would produce clearer images.

Then, I used the same angle but combined the ingredients in one image.
I think this image is better than the previous four since it is less blurry.

first, I took an overhead shot of the fish, and then I took a lower-angle shot.
To enhance the lighting, I increased the exposure in both of the images. I decided to use an overhead shot for the first image since it properly shows the intricate details of the dish.

I also took two images that combined all of the ingredients.
After experimenting with two different angles, I think the second image is of higher quality since the fish and intricate details of the dish are more visible.

I showed the actual process of me making the tuna tartare (pouring ingredients and mixing).
I really like the use of a point-of-view shot in both of the images as they make the audience feel part of the creation process! What I like the most is the use of a burst in the first image!

Lastly, I showed the final product.
I decided to experiment with different angles to see which one I like the best.

Similar to the first part of my photoshoot, I have once again taken an abundance of images–some of which I may not need for my magazine–meaning I will also narrow down these images.
